Reveal

aka: vanishing mess

The idea of a reveal is that the yoyoer puts the string into one formation, then with a simple motion such as dropping a string or crossing the hands, reveals a different, more recognizable formation such as a trapeze or a tower.

Not only can this make the trick more interesting by building and releasing tension (making it more dramatic), it can also be employed as a surprise twist to the trick, suddenly transforming a wadded-up jumble of string into something identifiable. This is generally a more elegant and desirable solution than to just drop everything and run.
