A hook is a type of laceration in which a loop of string is forced around the finger such that it it wraps around and catches one side of the yoyo, "hooking" it in place.
Since the basic (Hidemasa) hook ends in a reverse trapeze variant, it is commonly used as a fancy bind, especially in combination with laceration combos or from an open mount after one drops everything and runs.
