The gyroscopic flop is a trick wherein the string is wrapped around the bearing and pulled in such a way that the yoyo is forced to turn over while spinning.
In its original basic form, the yoyo is put in a mindbend mount and the string is pulled, making the yoyo flop over once. Due to the relative awkwardness of that form, it is much more common to see flops performed from other mounts. [such as: blahblahblah]
Although in its basic form the yoyo flops over once, multiple flops and partial flops into off-axis play are not uncommon.
