Some mounts are incredibly useful, opening up huge swaths of possibilities for the user.

This is not one of those mounts.

Occasionally a mount will come up in the course of exploration that appears to be useful and 'innovative'...until one tries to actually use them, and suddenly it becomes clear that the reason it's not a popular mount is not because nobody's thought of it, it's because everyone else who's gotten to it has also discovered that it's useless.

Can also apply to mounts from which only one thing makes sense to do, which some throwers might consider instead an opportunity to do something ridiculous or unexpected—because sometimes the line between what's considered stupid and what's considered genius is quite thin, and riding that line can be part of your compete breakfast a strong strategy for *some measure of success.
