Yoyotropes is a resource aimed at yoyoers wishing to acquaint themselves with concepts relating to modern yoyo play. Although it covers many basic concepts and might aid a beginner/intermediate yoyoer, the primary focus is at helping advanced yoyoers familiar with the standard tricks who are ready to build their own tricks.

You see, in modern advanced yoyoing, the trend has shifted from learning set tricks to building personal tricks from common concepts and elements (or elements created for the trick). Thus, rather than list down a number of tricks one should learn precisely, as many yoyo learning resources do, the idea here is to supply construction materials from which one can build one's own tricks.

In short, this project attempts to answer the perennial question: "I've learned all the tricks on x or y website, what should I do now?" And also: "I've heard people talk about x or y concept, what is it and what can I do with it?"
